Tribalism is Good & Necessary

There is an innate need in man to be part of a society or small group of men. Modern society has attempted to destroy tribes or downplay them by advocating for complete openness and the lack of groups. Groups have become “offensive”, thus we have globalism. Tribes have become archaic. This modern globalistic, feminism-driven trend must be rejected. The church itself is a brotherhood, and therefore it is an exclusive group. Tribalism is a good and necessary part of living. Colleges are tribes. Clubs are tribes. Biker gangs are tribes.

All these groups are separate from other groups. They have their own code and identity.

The church can satisfy the need of man to be part of a small group while at the same time granting salvation to those men.

“There shall be twelve stones with their names according to the names of the sons of Israel. They shall be like signets, each engraved with its name, for the twelve tribes”
Exodus 28:21

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”
Proverbs 17:17

“Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.”

Unfortunately, the religious world has become increasingly effeminate as feminism has seeped its way into the church.

The biblical model of headship in marriage is no longer taught in the church because preachers are afraid of women screaming at them about their “chauvinistic interpretation of the bible”. What more evidence do you need to support the fact that men in the church have become emasculated than to state that men are actually afraid of women? Because religion has become effeminate generally speaking, men are becoming less attracted to it over time.

Returning to the discussion of tribes: Even introverted men need to be part of groups, even if they feel the need to be involved with those groups less often. The group is necessary to the human being because it provides a sense of purpose and belonging. In a world devoid of any purpose and with some people even promoting purposelessness, the tribes become more important.

Many Christians will be uncomfortable with the word “tribes” because it can connote cavemen-style tribalistic gatherings where men eat raw meat and try to make fires with sticks.

This is not the case, as you will see when you examine the twelve tribes of Israel in scripture. Each son of Jacob created his own unique lineage that had thousands upon thousands of members. Every man knew exactly which tribe he was from because it was a large part of his identity.

Levites knew who they were, and they knew that the priesthood was a part of their unique tribe. No other tribe was allowed to approach the altar or to directly commune with God in the way that the High priest and the priests of the tribe of Levi were able to. That was a high level of exclusivity, and that exclusiveness applied even between brethren, since everyone in Israel was related (minus salves, sojourners, and other people taken from destroyed cities).

This should show us that there is nothing wrong with separation between peoples and exclusivity in a manner of tribalism. The modern world wants everything to be available to everyone no matter who you are. If you belong to a globalist world, you belong to nothing.

Globalists believe you should be able to join any exclusive tribe you want without even having to conform to their standards!

How ridiculous is that? How silly would it be for a man to join a club of men where the requirements for entrance were that you needed to be able to run 2 miles, be able to lift 100 pounds, and be able to operate a firearm and then say to the other club members, “You know, I really can’t meet any of your requirements, but I want to join anyways”?

But you can see this principle playing out in the church even today. You no longer have to live righteously to be a Christian anymore. You can be a public homosexual or living in open adultery and you will still find churches that will accept you. These churches are weak and they live in defiance of the Will and Word of God. Therefore, we must reject these churches and their way of conducting themselves. They are not part of our tribe. They have chosen the favor of the people over the favor of God.

It is not wrong to impose standards and exclusivity in the church in a manner that looks like tribalism.

We already do this everywhere in life! If a man wants to gain entrance to a college, he needs to have certain standardized test scores and go through a process of gaining admission and then pay for the schooling. He cannot effortlessly walk around the college taking classes and doing whatever he wants without going through these steps. This is because the college institution is hypothetically exclusive because it has entrance requirements. And once a person gets into college, they have to maintain a certain GPA in order to stay there. The same principle applies to Christians. The church has entrance requirements and a specific standard of behavior necessary for remaining in it.

The exclusivity of the church must be preserved. It is a tribe of men, even though many churches have become social clubs for eunuchs. We must restore the exclusive nature of the assembly in the churches where it has been lost, and we must hold the standards of righteousness at all cost. You cannot live in evil and try to claim membership to the tribe of Christianity, you must obey the standards to be included in this brotherhood. You must conduct yourself like a man.

I Live righteously and belong to the Tribe.

Application

There may come a day when churches split rapidly in constant succession. The result will be many small churches that meet in houses just as in the first century. Our objective, if that day ever comes, is to use that split to our advantage to restore the exclusivity of the church. A Christian man must live his life in accordance with the code of conduct laid out in the Word of God. If he refuses, he is ejected from the church until he decides to change his lifestyle. This expulsion is in accordance with Scripture.

If you are currently in a church that allows individuals to live in open sin without any type of reprimand or expulsion, you need to leave it. That church would rather avoid confrontation and please everyone than do what is right in the eyes of God.

Leaving your church is difficult and may be painful, but your current tribe does not care about doing what is right, they only care about avoiding the pain and extreme discomfort that comes from telling someone they are wrong or openly expelling them from the church. Leave a church that is weak, because if persecution ever arises again, it will obliterate that church and you will be caught in the crossfire. Men who build their faith on emotions will be destroyed the instant that they are punished or even inconvenienced for the faith. You must leave that church and relocate to a strong church before that day comes.

If you need to form your own church, then do it.

It sounds strange to suggest starting a church in the home or in another building, but if no one around you is maintaining the church correctly then you have an obligation to change that fact. It is not too inconvenient to meet in someone’s house to commune and worship with men who are concerned with putting God first rather than putting convenience first, this has been done for thousands of years.

Whatever the cost, you must maintain the church and keep it exclusive. This is the task of man.

Strengthen your mind.

Embrace the changing world and bend it to the church.

Protect the church.

Conduct yourselves like men.

The Lion Mentality – Daniel’s Lions

The Lion Mentality is one of aggression and focus.

“And the king gave the command, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions—them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den.”
Daniel 6:24

When children are learning about the story of Daniel in the Old Testament, they always learn two basic lessons.

Daniel prayed three times per day (Daniel 6:10) and did so even though he knew there would be consequences for praying to or worshiping anyone but King Darius (6:7-8).
Daniel was tossed in the den of lions but God closed the mouths of the lions and Daniel lived (6:21-22).

What children don’t learn or perhaps gloss over is a very important lesson that can be taken from the end of the chapter. And it is not merely a lesson, but a principle or an attitude that can be learned even from the animal kingdom through the Biblical lens. The principle comes from the selected verse of the day: the enemies of Daniel who plotted against him were taken and thrown in the lion’s den along with all of their family members. And the lions shattered their bones before they ever reached the bottom of the den – that is the epic ending of Daniel’s foes.

The aggression of the lions is what Men should seek to embody in their own lives.

Masculine Men possess a spirit that assaults all obstacles and crushes all opposing forces “before they can even reach the bottom of the den”. This philosophy is the opposite of procrastination. The Lion mindset is incredibly aggressive and is founded on the fast paced offensive maneuvering that all men should strive to employ in their lives.

King Darius likely had his lions starved or at the least fed them only intermittently, therefore anything that resembled food would be attacked and destroyed in an instant if it entered the den. So then men must also be hungry for personal improvement and success in their own life. Men must aggressively attack their own weaknesses and “shatter their bones”.

Mantra

I have the Lion Mindset and attack all obstacles with ferocity.

Application

These lions represent the spirit of the aggressive mentality.

The Lion Mentality is one that attacks problems before they are even problems, while they are still in the incubation stage and forces solutions onto them.

The mindset also seeks out tasks and completes them in advance, far before any deadlines need to be met.

You must be this way in your own life. When you know something must be done, you instantly attack it with violent aggression and destroy the task.

If you are in school or college, you must view yourself as a lion just waiting for a task to be tossed at you. The second you know about an assignment, you must attack it and work on it until it is finished. If you have a week to finish an assignment, finish it today. If you have a month to finish an assignment, finish it in five days maximum. You will feel a sense of pride and satisfaction in yourself that is only possible through intense, focused work.

The same thing can be done in your work.

If you are accustomed to taking a full day to produce one widget, take on the aggressive mindset and produce two widgets. Then make three and four widgets until you are the most productive person in your department. Then start your own business with your newfound aggression and work ethic and stop renting your time to the highest bidder.

You must also apply the same principles to your relationships with friends and significant others or marriage. If a problem comes up in the relationship, hit it early and quickly. Do not allow problems to fester and grow because of procrastination.

The Lion mentality can destroy Parkinson’s Law – which states, “work expands to fill the time given to complete it”.

Which simply means that if a normal man is given a week to finish a task, it will take the entire week even though it likely could have been completed in a few hours had he concentrated on it. Parkinson’s law outlines procrastination. But by applying the Lion Mindset you can short-circuit that law and be more productive than you have in the past.

Rebellion – Manipulate Your Mind To Your Will

Our rebellious nature forces us to become men, take our own paths and grow in our own ways. However, this rebellious steak can lead us directly away from Christianity.

“For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected you from being king.”
1 Samuel 5:23

“An evil man seeks only rebellion, and a cruel messenger will be sent against him.”
Proverbs 17:11

No man wants to stay on the path outlined by his parents, he wants his own path. He wants to forge his own way through the darkness using his own strength of will. Following the path of others is for the weak, so we think. This trail blazing mentality is a good thing.

Our rebellious nature forces us to become men, take our own paths and grow in our own ways. However, this rebellious streak can lead us directly away from Christianity. God imposes a vast number of rules and regulations on the behavior of man, and many days the man detests this in his heart, though he may never say it aloud. Many men do verbalize their rebelliousness and even boast about it, saying “I’m a rebel”. No one is impressed by the person who uses this phrase.

Rebellion is needed for the growth of the individual, but is not useful when it leads us to make decisions purely out of a desire to be independent.

Such decisions tend to lead us directly towards evil. It is one thing to go your own way in life and reject traditions passed down by your parents because you think you have better ways to act, it is another thing to reject tradition and the law of God just for the sake of rejecting it. This is what the nature of man is capable of, he does not want to be tied down and commanded. This is the nature of man that must be wrestled against.

Rebellion is brought on by a desire for something better. Israel repeatedly rebelled against God because they thought the other gods were better, or, more likely, they thought the cult prostitutes were more fun than having only one woman. Man the animal is bored to death by laws and commands, while man the spirit is willing to worship God.

The desire to rebel is build into our nature, just as the oppressive need for sex it a part of our DNA.

We must fight against this whenever it is unprofitable, and learn how to manipulate our natural rebelliousness when its effects could be beneficial.

To rebel against the world is profitable.

To rebel against God is unprofitable.

Mantra

Rebellion is an excuse for weak behavior.

Application

Manipulate your rebellious nature to your will. If you have to rebel against something, let it be the enemy. Rebel against the idea that you have to have sex with multiple women to be happy. If most people are doing something, then by not doing it you are rebelling, except in this case you are rebelling against the enemy. Identify what the masses are doing and then go the other way. Sheep will follow each other off a mountain, so you should go your own way.

Rebel against the weak who eat nothing but garbage and have no desire to change.

Rebel against the corpulent culture and be fit.

Rage against ignorance and be wise.

Your rebellious nature is to be used to gain advantage in life.

For the instances when you want to rebel against God, you must wrestle against yourself and your own nature. Yes, you want to rebel, but it will not profit you. You have to convince your mind that there are more total benefits to obeying the Word than there are in rebelling and enjoying sin.

Sometimes this nature will have to be defeated by pure strength of mind alone, and the maneuvering of forces of the mind. By focusing on the negative effects of doing what is wrong, and the positive effects of doing what is right, you can flank your mind and convince it that rebellion brings no advantage to you. Flank your mind into avoiding immediate gratification.

Strengthen the mind.

Hold the line.

Be disciplined.

Be a Man.

Draw Power from Rage

“Refrain from rage, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil”
Psalm 37:8

There is a darkness that rests in the soul of man. It is the rage of man that allows him to go to war, to kill others in the name of justice, or even for something much less than that. His rage allows him to keep absolute focus on killing the enemy and winning the war. This is a tremendous power that is unused in most men.

Within us is the power to do any and all work, build anything, create anything and amass tremendous wealth. This rage is a limitless energy just waiting to be tapped. It exists in all men. Most use it for evil. Most use it to destroy, but this power can be used to build, if you learn to channel it properly. You must learn to draw strength from rage.

The weak man carelessly expresses his rage.

This is the anger the Bible tells us to “put away”. There is no benefit to mindlessly expressing our emotions, especially our rage. That is a massive waste of a tremendous source of energy. Correctly channeling these emotions is what leads to victory.

The difference in rage that is mindlessly expressed and that which is carefully controlled is the same difference between a massive wildfire, and a propane blowtorch. One is uncontrolled and destroys, the other is highly concentrated, controlled, and is used to build. We must use our rage to build something spectacular. We must use this rage to be a man, not a weak beta with a temper.

Mantra

This rage is a tool. Redirect it. Use it.

Application

First recognize the biochemistry within you. This energy is a byproduct of testosterone. Most men’s rage is testosterone combined with poor self-control. Practice is the best tool when it comes to anything like redirection of emotions.

The easiest way to learn how to redirect raging energy is to start by redirecting it towards something physical, usually physical training (which you should be doing anyway). This is especially helpful if you are prone to anger. When something makes you angry, you must notice it immediately, bottle it, and then hold it until you get to the gym. Then unleash that anger in conjunction with the physical expression, you will feel a change in your biochemistry, and you will actually have built something instead of destroying something.

Then move on to other facets in your life and redirect the energy there. Convert raging energy to fearlessness. Whenever you feel fear towards something, conjure your rage and aggression and make it overpower your fear.

Wage war on mediocrity in your studies or the workplace. Use rage to outwork every other person at your job. Channel it to power through fatigue and tiredness during your studies. Use it as a tool to build the life you want.

The Damage of Pacifism on the Minds of Men

What the Church has Taught Men

For some time now, the Church has taught men that masculine aggression is to be avoided at all costs and that pacifism is a virtue. Because for some reason aggression is equivalent to violence in the minds of these individuals. People fear that if their sons grow up and manifest aggression, they will end up in gangs, crime or domestic warfare. This highlights a fundamental problem in the thinking of most Christian people – a misunderstanding of the proper, valuable uses of aggression.

Because the modern, civilized world is so peaceful and safe, people do not appreciate an aggressive, masculine man anymore. There is no need, generally speaking, for men to protect women and children against violence from other men. Were there this need, people would be able to regularly see and appreciate the value of masculine aggression when it is used for the good of society. This is what people have forgotten: masculine aggression tempered with wisdom benefits society, it does not damage it. Instead pacifism has been promoted as the key to being religious.

Instead of promoting this masculine aggression, however, the Church has chosen to preach against it. This is extremely damaging to men as it has made them weak, effeminate and fearful, unable to defend themselves or others.

Aggression is preached as “evil”. Pacifism is preached as “good”.
Idiotic views of government and punishment are caused by the suppression of appropriate aggression.
The use of violence in self-defense situations has been replaced with “turn the other cheek“.

The result is that men are not only unable to resist violence and evil, but are unwilling to do so as well. Men do not even have the capacity to protect their families. Most Christian men would forgive a man for raping his wife while he is still raping her – that is the extreme to which “live peaceably with all men” has been taken, and it is an inappropriate extreme.

This is most evident with more progressive Churches. When was the last time you saw an aggressive, masculine man attend “Yoga for Jesus“?

This is also readily apparent in pacifist denominations such as the Baptist or Methodist Churches. If this applies to you, I would encourage you not to take this statement personally, but take a good look around your Church and ask yourself, “Are there any truly masculine men here?” I tend to notice that most Baptists come out of the womb docile and tame. I have never met an aggressive Baptist. If you are a Baptist, you have the responsibility to make yourself more aggressive, unless you are too busy being offended by this paragraph to see its importance.

What Spartans Believe – Masculine Aggression is highly appropriate.

Even a casual student of Biblical history is aware of the commands of God to utterly destroy various peoples. The book of Joshua outlines many of these conquests and battles. God commands MEN to utterly destroy these peoples because they are evil – many of them burn their own children alive as sacrifices to their gods. Most would agree that this single crime is punishable by death, and therefore is the justification for the obliteration of their infanticide-based society.

In order to destroy these infant murdering societies, men would have to employ extreme aggression. Men would be required to kill other men in hand-to-hand combat. The psychological burden of warfare on the mind’s men had to be extraordinary. For these men to override their immediate fears of battle, they had no choice but to use aggression. To engage in pacifism would have meant turning a blind eye to the evils of those countries.

Men cannot kill other men without aggression combined with the will to kill.

Through the properly channeled use of aggression, many of those evil societies were destroyed. Even to this day the same principles still apply. The evils of Germany were subdued by the applied bravery, training and AGGRESSIVE MENTALITY of brave Allied forces. Appropriately applied aggression saves the world during war, and contributes to the progress of society during peace.

How We Must Correct the Damage done by Weak Christian Men.

The aggression muscle of Christian men has expectedly gone flabby due to lack of use and training, but it can just as well be restored through training. Men have a responsibility to encourage their natural aggression and use it for the benefit of society. Here are a few basic applications of Masculine Aggression:

Aggression is to be Internal and Concentrated at the Weakness of Self.

Grace is not going to fix your personal problems. Grace will not take away your addiction to cocaine or pornography. God’s Grace will not allow you to overcome the weaknesses of your character. Grace covers your sin, it does not magically cure you of your sinful behavior. Each of your problems must be overcome by the proper application of masculine aggression. No problems were ever solved by pacifism.

When you become angry at your own shortcomings, you fuel yourself to destroy those shortcomings. You must hate evil and strike it with a mighty slaughter. Just as Paul hated his shortcomings (Romans 7:13-22) you must as well. You will find that simply learning to encourage feelings of anger and disgust towards your shortcomings can give you the energy you need to improve. I never advise chronically using anger for every little tiny detail of your life, at some point you need to be able to use discipline to behave properly. But until you get to that level, anger is a great burst of strength and power that can be used to destroy immediate temptation and weakness. Pacifism never destroyed anything.

Aggression is to be Targeted at Evil.

If you come in contact with evil, there are multiple ways to use aggression to overpower it. Never suppress aggression, instead learn to channel it.

Target aggression at your sin as mentioned before.
Aim aggression at the Devil, despise what he offers you, curse the immediate enjoyment of his “gifts”.
Despise the actions of evildoers, but do not despise the individuals themselves.
Hate your own cravings to do what is wrong.
Hate your intellectual, physical and emotional poverty.
Use aggression in real, physical warfare to destroy evil.

Aggression is to be Harnessed for the Improvement of Self and Society.

You are no longer allowed to be satisfied with where you currently are in your personal, physical and mental development. You are not satisfied with the development of those around you and of society as a whole.

It is vital that you harness this dissatisfaction and your aggression to build a better life for yourself and for others.

Use aggression to train your physical body. This must be done daily and it a critical component of properly channeled aggression. Physical training is the easiest place to learn the basic procedure for how to channel aggression into an endeavor.
Use aggression in politics, if you dare. Overpower evil and attack it with violence.
Attack your bookshelf, wage war on ignorance.
Use aggression to override any discomfort you have with talking to others, disciplining your children or working in the marketplace.

The damage that weak men in the Church have done to the new generation of men by promoting pacifism can be undone, but it will be very difficult. Until men have something real and tangible to fight against, the majority of them will not change their ways and voluntarily become strong. But you are different, you have read to this point so you must already desire strength and personal power. Use your God-given masculine aggression to create the life, mentality and character that you want to have.
